Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education offers B.Sc Computer Science (Cognitive Systems) in 2021 with the aim of meeting the global needs of the industrial world. This programme seek to attract talented students from around the country for quality undergrad education. This programme are designed to produce IT professionals with the most up-to-date technological and professional expertise to meet the industry’s demands. Today’s global IT field is quite complex and dynamic in nature, to become a successful person, and Computer Science graduate should have realistic programming capabilities. The main objective of this course to understand how technological advancements impact society and the social, legal, ethical and cultural ramifications of computer technology and their usage. The course is pioneering in nature and it was started by having a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).
The curriculum of this collaborative degree program aims to ensure that the students graduating from the program not only know the core topics of Computer Science but also develop a positive reception of Mathematics and Cognitive Thinking. The students are also exposed to advance topics such as Big Data Analytics, Machine/Deep Learning, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things, Robotic Process Automation, Software Testing, DevOps etc. to make them industry ready at the end of three years of study.

7. Understand the basic concepts of system software, hardware and computer graphics.
This moulded them to develop 10 innovative products in 5 years. They have also got 23 patents and 55 publications under their name. The students have done wonders in the field of extracurricular activities apart from academics. The students took part in many National and International Events” and bagged lots of medals. The students of B.tech- Mechanical Engineering are offered a One Credit Course from the Industry and International Professors. The department invites resource persons from industries and abroad to handle one credit course in order to raise awareness and bring industrial skills to our students (15hours).
Most of the students from the B.Tech Mechanical programme doing their final year Project/ internships at industries/ International universities for a semester.
I am really proud to be a student of Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education. Our college course is relevant and makes the students industry-ready. Labs and classrooms are fully equipped with projectors and other essential facilities. The department library has a great collection of useful course books. Apart from that, there is a central library and IRC (research centre). Our college also has a playground, indoor games facilities, health centre, auditorium and swimming pool. The hostel is well designed according to the student’s needs. It has all kinds of mess facilities. Faculty members are highly qualified as well as very knowledgeable. They are very understanding and good. They are very helpful for every student. They always encouraged us in difficult situations through this year. I am proud to be a student of KARE from the department of Computer Science & Information Technology.
