ECE Lab

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering has established ten laboratories to cater for the needs of practical training and skill development of the students towards outcome-based education. All the laboratories are well equipped with the necessary hardware and software resources to meet the curriculum requirements and provide opportunities for additional learning.

Communication Laboratory
Communication Laboratory is mainly used to design and develop the Community Service Project (CSP).
To conduct practical classes on analog electronics circuits providing matter of fact on diodes, transistors, FET, and digital electronic circuits. The lab is equipped with the latest multiple power supplies, Digital Storage Oscilloscopes, Analog Oscilloscopes, Function generators, Logic Scopes, etc.

Linear Digital & Integrated Circuits Laboratory
Linear Digital & Integrated Circuits Laboratory is largely accustomed to the APJ Abdul kalam Project contest. This lab is being used by the students to gain more practical knowledge on the study of linear integrated circuits including op-amps, regulators, and other linear ICs. Equipment like Digital Logic trainer Kit, Linear IC Kit, Linear IC tester kit, Digital IC tester Kit, are available to enhance the interest of the student in the field of Integrated Electronics.

Digital Signal Processing & DSP System Design Laboratory
Digital Signal Processing & DSP System Design Laboratory is massively used to conduct One Credit Courses and Technical Seminars for the students.The lab has been set up to conduct practical work for the subject of Digital Signal Processing. The simulation tools like LAB VIEW and MATLAB with SIMULINK are on hand. Special toolboxes and Block sets for Control Systems, Signal Processing, Image processing are also accessible.
DSP Starter kit TMS320C50 Based DSP Trainer Kit, LAN Trainer Kit, CDMA DSSS Trainer kit are offered for studying the various Signal Processing techniques.
DSP System Design Laboratory has collaborated with Nanochip Solutions under the stream of AI and Cyber Security.

Microwave and Optical Communication Laboratory
Microwave and Optical Communication Laboratory employed to learn emerging technologies workshops and Hands-on-Training for the students.This lab is to conduct practical experiments on the study of Optical Fiber communication and Microwave engineering using state of the art kits.Equipment’s like Microwave test benches, VSWR meter, Klystron test benches, Gunn oscillators, Dielectric measurement benches, Fiber Optic Trainer kit, LASER Diode and Glass Fibre-based Trainer Kit, are available for ready use.

VLSI Laboratory
VLSI Laboratory is utilized to get HP Certification course in VLSI, VHDL and PCB design for the students as well as faculty.The lab has been set up to prepare the students in the areas of high-level HDL design, standard cell design, analog design, architectures and synthesis of VLSI circuits and verification of VLSI designs. The full suite of the following tools is installed in the VLSI Lab:
1. Xilinx FPGA tools
2. Altera tools for FPGA design and development
3. Smart Boards
4 VLSI Design Laboratory has collaborated with Nanochip Solutions under the stream of VLSI Design and Verification.

NI-Technology Innovation Center
NI-Technology Innovation Centre are used mainly For National Instruments CLAD Certification in certified Lab View Associate Developer to Students and Faculty.The centre is an initiative of National Instruments which strives to increase the employability of students. The centre is authorized to provide hands-on training in Lab VIEW for students and faculty members. The following facilities are available in the centre ELVIS, Lab VIEW, MyDAQ, My RIO, CRIO, CDAQ, FPGA Board etc., ELVIS Optical Communication board, and Telecommunication board.

Microprocessor and Microcontroller Laboratory
Microprocessor and Microcontroller Laboratory are used to conduct Symposium activities and Final Year Projects.This laboratory helps the students to enhance their knowledge of architecture, programming and interfacing of various processors and microcontrollers. It is equipped with 8086 Microprocessor Trainer (Micro 86/88 LCD), 8051 Microcontroller Trainer. The features and facilities available in this lab will help the students to do their projects and enhance their knowledge on the latest trends and technologies. Microprocessor and Microcontroller Laboratory has collaborated with Nanochip Solutions under the stream of Embedded Systems and IoT.

Open-Source Research Lab
Open-Source Research Lab is widely used to get international certification course by Tessolve Semiconductors and research activities carried by students and faculty.This lab has been set up to motivate the students to prepare hands-on designs of real-time electronic holds on their mini-project session. In this Lab along with students working on their final year projects to complete their degree requirements, many pre-final year students also carry out hobby projects to develop and support understanding of class and lab assignments.VLSI Design Research Laboratory has collaborated with Nanochip Solutions under the stream of VLSI Physical Design.
