TIFAC-CORE in
Network Engineering (TCNE) is established
based on MoU signed on
14th January 2002. The MoU was signed by Dr. C. Thangaraj,
Principal, AKCE and Dr. Y. S. Rajan, Executive Director, Mission REACH in
the presence of Dr. M. S. Vijayaragavan, Advisor, O/o PSA to Govt.
of India and Mr. K. Sridharan, Secretary, AKCE. This centre is offering
consultancy and testing facilities for industries and other user
organizations in the field of Network Engineering. TIFAC-CORE in Network
Engineering is undertaking Research & Development activities in the field
of Computer Networks, Network Security, Embedded Networking and Power
Networks.
VISION:
To provide impetus to interdisciplinary Education and Research, in the
area of Network Engineering, turn out quality
manpower of international standard, focus on applications of social
relevance, and to strive hard for social and economic
uplift of the nation by Technology Development, Transfer and Adoption.

Network products
This center is recognized as Sun Academy Initiative Partner, Cisco Networking Academy
and Red Hat Academic Partner. Pearson VUE Testing center is also established in this center to enable the students to
take international online certification exams of leading software certification
authorities.
