Department of Computer Applications was started in 1997, offering MCA programme. With excellent laboratory and research facility the programme was continuously affiliated by the Madurai Kamaraj University and later by Anna University. Department also started offering M.Sc (Computer Technology) programme from year 2000.
Department has well equipped laboratories and laboratory facilities are available to the students round the clock. Department has internet facilities (8Mbps) through leased line and satellite link (DVB).Highly qualified and experienced faculty with specialization in Cryptography , Network Security , Grid Computing , Speech processing, Text Classification, Networking, Algorithms, Data Mining, Image Processing, Software Engineering, Natural language processing, Computer graphics, Web Technology, Embedded systems, Evolutionary computing etc. are available.
