Computing and Internet Facilities:

Central Server Farm

SunFire 4800 enterprise server, SunFire T1000 server, 6 numbers of IBM Blade Servers, 4 numbers of  Wipro Rack Servers and 6 numbers Desktop Servers (from HP and HCL), and 9 TB storage  cater the computing and storage needs of the faculty and students. The central server farm comprises of File servers, Database server, Mail server, Web server, Backup server, Proxy server, e-learning server. Licensed softwares are available for all system and application softwares.

Internet facility

University has excellent internet access facilities by being a part of the 1 Gbps National Knowledge Network. Additionally, 24 Mbps Internet bandwidth is provided  through microwave link by Reliance.  All the systems in the campus are connected to LAN and can be used for Internet access. All the buildings and the laboratories are connected with optical fiber through layer-3 switch providing highly reliable gigabit backbone LAN connectivity.
 

Computer Centre

Exclusive computer centre with 300 systems for internet access is available for all the students. This facility is available round the clock.
Central Library


The Central Library is fully air-conditioned with the seating capacity of 350 and well protected with CCTV and fire extinguishers. Library has 65,894 volumes in engineering, technology, science and management. The library subscribes to 637 journals and magazines at national and international level and online journals of IEEE and Science Direct. Library has an audio-video room for students to learn at their own pace. The library has 3,320 project reports and 3,250 back volumes in the reference section. The total area of the central library is 14,500 sq.ft. Central Library is automated with MODERNLIB software which is used for acquisition, book transaction, OPAC and administration. All the book transactions are computerized through Bar Code system.
Language Lab

University has a modern language lab based on the Multimedia Systems. Globearena Software for English Lab is available with the following features:

  • Teacher console for conducting programs and monitoring students and providing on line help etc.

  • English Lab based on the client server application running in LAN. English Lab has the following modules useful for enhancing language skills amongst students to make them successful in careers.

a) Communication skills

b) Learning skills

c) Vocabulary model

d) Phonetics

e) Conversation.
